Mango Bag
This bag will be used to protect individual newly developed mangoes up to its stalk, shielding the fruit
from outside elements that could damage the fruit such as fungi, insects, and birds and from other
weather disturbances. The bag is rectangular in shape and will feature a protruding flap on the upper
right side with a built-in thin galvanized iron wire to easily secure and close the bag. The paper is coated
with a wet strength polymer that’s resistant to water penetration but remains breathable for the rainy
season and non-coated paper for the dry season. The bag will also feature a thumb notch for easy
opening of the bag, and have several tiny openings at the bottom of the seal that will serve as a drain for
some water that might enter the bag.
